The VIAjet V-Series is controlled by MPERIA, allowing it to adapt to virtually any marking and coding environment. MPERIA centralizes control of all primary, secondary and tertiary print operations, and easily integrates with current enterprise systems and existing third-party marking and coding equipment to reduce downtime and cost while increasing productivity. Equipped with a choice of intuitive, touchscreen graphical user interfaces (GUI), MPERIA makes message creation and selection simple by automatically synchronizing graphic and source data inputs from enterprise resource planning (ERP), warehouse management systems (WMS), programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and Big Data systems with minimal information technology (IT) effort.
Capable of marking on both porous and non-porous substrates, the VIAjet V-Series can imprint codes on metal, paper and pulp, wood, concrete, and plastic. For high-speed production, its print heads mark at rates up to 800 feet per minute (244 meters per minute), and are rated for a lifespan of 6 billion firings apiece.
The V-Series’ large character print—ranging from 0.125 to 5 inches (3 to 127 millimeters)—combined with Matthews’ selection of pigmented inks, makes it ideal for marking corrugated cases, cartons and building products in particular. To produce larger image sizes, multiple V-Series print heads can be stacked and networked with the enclosed V-Link module that includes an internal power supply and print head driver board.
