Matthews Marking Systems Expands U.S. Coding Portfolio with Addition of Linx Continuous Inkjet (CIJ) Technology

Matthews Marking Systems, a global provider of industrial marking and coding solutions, today announced the addition of Linx continuous inkjet (CIJ) printers from Linx Printing Technologies to its U.S. product portfolio. Beginning in early 2027, Manufacturers will have access to the Linx 9000 Series through Matthews, expanding the company's coding and marking offering and providing customers with a broader range of solutions backed by a single source for sales, application expertise, training, and service.

The addition of Linx technology strengthens Matthews’ ability to guide customers to the coding solution best suited for their operation across a variety of marking technologies from inkjet options to laser. With multiple technologies in the portfolio, Matthews can now evaluate each production environment based on factors such as line speed, packaging materials, operating conditions, integration requirements, maintenance preferences, and evolving traceability needs.

“Manufacturing operations are increasingly diverse, with coding needs varying widely by application,” said Lee Lane, Group President, Industrial Automation and Matthews Environmental Solutions, Matthews International. “Adding Linx CIJ technology to our portfolio enables us to advise customers more effectively and match the right solution to their production environment and business goals. Whether their application calls for continuous inkjet or another coding technology, customers can rely on one trusted partner with a full portfolio of product marking and coding solutions to select, deploy, and support the best fit for their needs.”

The expanded portfolio will offer manufacturers alternatives for small character inkjet coding and marking. The Linx 9000 Series is a proven choice for manufacturers that depend on traditional continuous inkjet technology, require high-speed non-contact coding, or print on curved and variable surfaces in demanding production environments

“Continuous inkjet remains one of the most trusted coding technologies in manufacturing, and the Linx 9000 Series has been developed to help customers get the very best from it,” said Matt Eastham, Commercial Director and Country Manager North America, Linx Printing Technologies. “We developed the 9000 Series around the things that manufacturers tell us matter most: keeping production running, making day-to-day operation easier, and reducing the time spent on maintenance. Through our partnership with Matthews, more manufacturers can benefit from the reliability, simplicity and performance of Linx technology, backed by application expertise and local support that helps keep production running.”

Customers will be supported by Matthews’ U.S.based technical organization, which provides consultation, installation, training, and ongoing service throughout the life of the system.

Attendees of PACK EXPO International 2026, taking place October 18-21 at McCormick Place in Chicago, can see both the Linx 9000 Series and Matthews Axian solutions at the Matthews Marking Systems booth (#S-3429), where experts will be available to discuss application requirements and demonstrate the company’s expanded coding portfolio.
