Pittsburgh, PA, July 1, 2011 – Matthews Marking Products is pleased to introduce the SCP-420 Blaze Orange ink. This brightly colored, fluorescent ink provides a brilliant, high-contrast mark on both light and dark colored surfaces, and can be used to mark onto non-porous materials such as plastics and metals, as well as cardboard, wood, and other porous substrates. The fluorescence of the ink also makes it suitable for applications where a mark must be seen with an optical vision system.
This quick-drying, non-MEK ink was developed for use with Matthews’ reliable and robust Drop-On-Demand large character valve ink jet printheads. Providing a contrasting mark on dark substrates, this unique dye based ink is easy to manage in a non-contact printhead, as it is non-pigmented, not requiring agitation and other troubling steps frequently associated with pigmented inks.
